I follow ideas wherever they lead.

I am Leon (Arik) Schenkler - a writer, an artist and a creator.

I am multidisciplinary by choice. I do not believe that I need to remain inside one field. An idea may lead me to a book, an artwork, a game, a public project, research, or something entirely different.

For me, moving between disciplines is not a lack of direction. It is the direction.

I am curious. I like to understand how things work, question accepted assumptions, experiment with ideas and then create something from what I find.

When I write, I do not write quickly. I research. I write. I edit. Then I read what I wrote, and I read it again, and then I read it again. Every word counts. Every sentence counts. Every paragraph counts.

The same approach exists in my visual work. Technology has opened extraordinary new creative possibilities. I use digital tools and generative AI as part of that process, but the idea, the direction, the choices and the final selection remain central to the work.

Some projects are personal. Some are commercial. Some are artistic. Some are public-interest projects. Some begin simply because something makes me curious.
